| Darren SaywellDr. Saywell is the Regional Director for the International Water Association. He manages a range of activities at IWA Headquarters, primarily focusing on regional development and regional delivery, but also advocacy and communications, task group management, technical product development, developing IWA's outreach program and leading its post-disaster management program. Until January 2005, Darren was a program manager with the World Health Organization based in Geneva. In his four years with WHO he was responsible for the coordination of a major program of advocacy, research and in-country activities in 30 nations. Darren's academic training was as a social scientist, applied initially in the fields of social housing provision and the environment and then latterly in water and sanitation service provision. He worked for seven years as a program manager in one of the leading international academic institutes (WEDC), before moving to WHO in Geneva. Darren's work has covered a broad range of topics. He has 16 years research, consultancy and teaching experience. He has a PhD from Loughborough University in the UK and a first class undergraduate degree in Geography from the University of Oxford. He has authored numerous books, contributed significantly to several others and published widely in academic and technical journals. He is currently serving in an advisory, technical and peer review capacity on several UN-led initiatives. Darren is a Non-Executive Director of the GWF (South Africa).

| Eugene CloeteProfessor Eugene Cloete holds a MSc degree from the University of the Free State in South Africa and a DSc from the University of Pretoria (UP). He is currently the Head of Microbiology Department at UP and the Chairperson of the School of Biological Sciences. He is also the current chairman of the IWA South African National Committee and immediate past Vice President of IWA International. In 2005 he was appointed as the Chairman of the IWA Strategic Council for a term of 3 years. Prof Cloete is the inventor of 8 patents of which 4 are international. In 2005 he received a THRIP Excellence Award for one of these patents pertaining to Biofilm monitoring as a technology benefiting a SMME during 2004. He has published 111 scientific papers in leading Science Citation Index journals. He has edited four books, three of which have been published internationally. He has been the recipient of 14 Awards and Prizes for academic excellence and four Teaching Awards and Prizes for innovation and capacity building. Professor Cloete is a Non-Executive Director of the GWF (South Africa).

| Patrick MoriartyDr. Moriarty is the Section Head, Knowledge Development and Advocacy at the IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre based in Delft, Holland. In addition to heading IRC's Knowledge Development section, Patrick is also involved in developing the IRC's interest in sub-basin, participatory, integrated water resources management (IWRM). His background is in Civil Engineering and Water Resource Management, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary work on local level water resource management issues. He currently specializes in aspects relating to water resource management including productive uses of water, the role of domestic water supplies in livelihoods and institutional reform for improved local level water resource management. Patrick is a Non-Executive Director of the GWF (South Africa).
| | Ulrike EbertUlrike has held the position of External Affairs Manager at Thames Water since September 2005 and is responsible for international water policy and stakeholder engagement. She is also acting as a project Manager across the External Affairs and Environment functions. Since March 2006, Ulrike has been responsible for Thames Water's communications on the current drought. Prior to this role, Ulrike was European Affairs Manager for the company, liaising with the European institutions on environmental, commercial and development related policies in Brussels. Ulrike started with Thames Water in 2001 working on project development in Paris and South Africa. Ulrike holds a Masters Degree in Political Science and has previous work experience in consultancy and marketing positions. Ulrike is a Non-Executive Director of the GWF (South Africa).

| Ian MelvilleIan is Managing Director and owner of Info-Tec distribution Ltd., a UK distributor for professional printing products with responsibility for brands including Canon, Kodak, Agfa, amongst others. Ian has previously established and run a manufacturing business in Malaysia where he lived with his family, and has also been Managing Director of the European, Middle East and African subsidiary of a U.S. Corporation. What Ian really enjoys doing is traveling - he has traveled extensively with Tracey, his wife, in developing countries and has spent time in 26 African countries which has given him both a love of Africa and a strong understanding of the needs, problems and issues that developing countries have to deal with. Ian and Tracey have been involved with the vision of the Global Water Foundation. Their true desire is to make a difference in the world, to improve the quality of life of those who do not have the privileges that we take for granted. Ian is married to Tracey with two children, Cameron and Cara. Ian is a Non-Executive Director of the GWF (South Africa)

| Godfrey MballaGodfrey is the Chief Executive Officer of TETRA STRATEGIE CONSULTING a leading finance strategy and international trade consulting firm presently active in Sub-Saharan African countries. Godfrey is an Economist by training and Banker by profession. He has been involved in key African finance and trade, strategic reform in various capacities in collaboration with world institutions such as the EU, WB AERC, AOF, ECCAS, SADC, ECOWAS, UEMOA, EAC to quote but few. His passion to contribute to the transformation of the African continent to a prosperous and peaceful land, has been the driving force for his commitment to many development initiatives, hence is full involvement in the creation of the Global Water Foundation. Godfrey was one of the initial brains during the Africa Economic Summit in 2005 that conceptualized the Global Water Foundation. He is married to Isabel and has four children. He is passionate about golf, mountain climbing, herbal tea and farming. Godfrey is a Non-Executive Director of the GWF (South Africa) and acts as contact and GWF liaison for Central and West Africa.

| Joe Cox Joe B Cox has specialized in the areas of estate planning, insurance, trusts and taxation for thirty-four years. He received a Jurist Doctorate from the University of Tulsa School of Law and a Masters of Laws in Estate Planning from the University of Miami, School of Law. Joe is Board Certified in Estate Planning and Administration and in Taxation by the Florida bar. In addition to the Board Certifications, Joe is a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Council. He is a member of the American and Florida Bar Associations, and is admitted to the Federal Appellate Courts and the United States Tax Court. Joe is a frequent speaker on tax planning topics such as income taxes, insurance trusts, irrevocable trusts and offshore asset protection trusts. He has written articles and books concerning income tax and irrevocable trusts. Joe is listed in the Who's Who in America and the Who's Who in American Law. Chosen by Florida Trend magazine as one of the top 1.6% of lawyers in Florida and one of the top 34 Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning lawyers. Joe was chosen by Worth Magazine to be one of the top 100 attorneys in America. Among his community commitments, Joe has served many organizations in a leadership position. These include: Naples Community Hospital, Community Foundation of Collier County, YMCA of Collier County, Community Schools of Naples, Alzheimer's Association, Forum Club, Senior Friendship Centers Inc. He was named the Child Advocate of the Year. Joe is a Non-Executive Director of the Global Water Foundation (USA).

| Minnie HildebrandMinnie Hildebrand works as an independent consultant from her offices in Johannesburg, South Africa. She has focused the past two decades of her life on water and sanitation issues, with specific attention to financial options for rural water and sanitation provision (including innovative savings schemes for poor, rural families), integrated schools water and sanitation program, service provision to urban slum households through the application of innovative solutions, and exploring the inclusion of the private sector in water and sanitation provision (PPP). Minnie has worked in most areas of the water and sanitation sectors, including three years as a member of the executive committee of a national South African water utility, as the SA coordinator of the WASH campaign for the Water and Sanitation Collaborative Council (WSSCC) during the Johannesburg Summit on Sustainable Development and five years as water and sanitation policy analysis for an international NGO. She has published widely, commercially and commissioned, on water and sanitation issues as well as macro economic issues in southern Africa. Her one book was short-listed for the Alan Paton Prize for non fiction. She is regularly asked to present papers at international conferences and symposia. Minnie holds a post graduate degree from the University of South Africa in Development Administration and Foreign Aid and her dissertation was entitled "A Post-Apartheid Economic System". Minnie is a Founding Member of the Foundation and works as Director for Africa as a volunteer on a part-time basis from offices in Johannesburg, South Africa. Minnie is an Executive Director and Trustee for both the USA and SA Registered charities.

| Johan KriekJohan is a member of an elite group of tennis professionals who have multiple Grand Slam singles titles, inter alia the two-time winner of the Australian Open. Together with his doubles partner Kevin Curren, he has won Wimbledon's Gentlemen's Doubles Competition four times. Johan was ranked as high as seventh in the world by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and was in the Top 10 in the 1980s. He has wins over many top players - Connors, Borg, Vilas, Noah, Agassi, Chang, Stan Smith, Arthur Ashe, John McEnroe, Pat Cash, Mats Wilander, Stefan Edberg and others. Johan was born in South Africa. When he was 17 he moved to Austria for more training and joined the worldwide professional tennis tour in 1978. Johan founded Sports Masters International Inc. a Naples-based sports-oriented corporate entertainment and event marketing company. Johan is the Sports Ambassador for WCI Communities Inc, one of Florida's largest community developers. Johan is a Founding Member of the Foundation and works as its International Director on a volunteer and part-time basis from his offices in Sarasota, Florida, USA. Johan is an Executive Director for both the USA and SA Registered charities. |
